WINNIPEG, SEPTEMBER 8, 2026 – Racquetball Canada is pleased to announce the team that will represent Canada at the 2026 World Championships, taking place in Temuco, Chile, from October 16 to 24.
Team Canada heads to Temuco looking to build on its 2024 World Championships results, where the Canada medaled in three events, including a Men’s Doubles gold for Samuel Murray and Coby Iwaasa. Of the eight athletes travelling to Temuco, five bring previous World Championship experience, while three will be making their first appearance at the World Championships under Head Coach Tim Landeryou.
“We’re excited to usher in a new era for Team Canada under Head Coach Tim Landeryou. With a combination of veteran leadership and first-time World Championship competitors, our goal is to create an environment where every athlete can perform at their best,” said Jen Saunders, Racquetball Canada’s High Performance Director. “We’re proud to defend our Men’s Doubles World Championship title, but equally focused on supporting this team and building the next chapter of Canadian racquetball.”
“It’s an honour to represent Canada at the World Championships. I’m excited to compete against the best in the world and ready to give it everything I’ve got!” said Samuel Murray, who will compete in Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles at this year’s Championships.
The World Championships will be streamed on the Pan American Sports Channel and the IRF’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. Results will be available throughout the event on the IRF website. Watch for links and details closer to the start of the tournament.

WOMEN’S DOUBLES & MIXED DOUBLES · SAINT-JACQUES, QC
At the 2026 National Championships, Parent won gold in Women’s Open Singles — her first national singles title, after three straight runner-up finishes — plus silver in Women’s Open Doubles. Internationally, she won bronze in Women’s Doubles at the 2024 World Championships with Frédérique Lambert and silver in Mixed Doubles at the 2024 Pan American Championships with Coby Iwaasa.
WOMEN’S DOUBLES · MONTRÉAL, QC
The most experienced athlete on the team, Lambert will make her 23rd international appearance at the 2026 World Championships. At the 2026 National Championships she won her sixth consecutive Women’s Open Doubles title, along with silver in singles. She has medaled four times at the World Championships, most recently bronze in Women’s Doubles in 2024. In 2025 she added a Mixed Doubles bronze medal at the World Games to her impressive record.

Parent made her elite international debut at the 2024 Pan American Championships. She captured her first Women’s Open Singles medal – a bronze at the 2026 National Championships, adding to a strong doubles record that includes Women’s Open Doubles silver in 2021, 2024, and 2026.

Jauvin made her elite international debut at the 2025 Pan American Championships, winning bronze in the Women’s Team Competition. In 2026 she earned her first Women’s Open Doubles medal, with a bronze medal win at the National Championships and returned to the Pan American Championships for a second appearance.

At the 2026 National Championships, Murray claimed his seventh Men’s Open Singles title and seventh Men’s Open Doubles title. Internationally, he captured gold in Men’s Doubles with Coby Iwaasa at the 2024 World Championships, along with silver in the Men’s Team Competition – one of four World Championships where he has reached the podium. Most recently he earned two podiums at the 2026 Pan American Championships.

Iwaasa added a new international medal in 2025, taking bronze in Mixed Doubles at the World Games in Chengdu. That followed his standout 2024 World Championships, where he won gold in Men’s Doubles with Samuel Murray and silver in the Men’s Team Competition – his second trip to the World Championship podium, for a career total of four medals. He added silver in both Men’s Open Singles and Men’s Open Doubles at the 2026 National Championships.

Webb has represented Canada at five elite international events, including the 2024 World Championships, where he helped Canada win silver in the Men’s Team Competition. He has claimed multiple national titles in Men’s Open Doubles and has medaled in Men’s Open Singles in each of the past two years, most recently bronze in 2026.

Gouldie’s rapid rise continued in 2026 with gold in Boys’ 21U Singles at the Junior National Championships after moving up an age category. At the elite level, the three-time World Junior Championship medalist won silver in Boys’ 21U Singles at the 2025 Pan American Championships and silver in Men’s Open Doubles at the 2025 National Championships.

Tim Landeryou, a former national team member, began his coaching career even before retiring from competition. As an athlete, he represented Canada in 14 international tournaments, winning 3 Pan American Championship medals and 4 World Championship medals. Nationally, he reached the podium 17 times in both singles and doubles events. Landeryou is the coach of Racquetball Canada’s Elite Team, with the 2026 World Championships marks Landeryou’s second international coaching assignment.

Jennifer Saunders brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the team. A well-decorated former national team member, and Racquetball Canada’s High Performance Director, Saunders has been inducted into both the Racquetball Canada and Manitoba Sports Halls of Fame. She represented Canada internationally on 28 occasions, earning 19 international podium finishes. Saunders holds the record for the most Canadian Women’s Open Championship titles, with 11 singles and 13 doubles titles.

Jordyn Bain is a Winnipeg physiotherapist specializing in orthopedic and sports injury care. Jordyn is certified in Advanced Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy, Acupuncture, and Dry Needling. This marks her second international assignment with Racquetball Canada, following the 2025 Pan American Championships.
