Juliette Parent has rapidly emerged as a prominent figure in Canadian racquetball. Parent’s elite international career is marked by significant achievements. She has competed in two World Championships, securing a bronze medal in Women’s Doubles in 2024 event alongside Frédérique Lambert. At the Pan American Championships, Parent earned a silver medal in Mixed Doubles in 2024, partnering with Coby Iwaasa, and contributed to Canada’s fourth-place team finish. In 2025, she added a bronze medal in the Women’s Team Competition at the Pan American Championships, further solidifying her international credentials. On the national stage, Parent has consistently performed at a high level. She secured silver medals in Women’s Open Singles at both the 2023 and 2024 Canadian National Championships. In Women’s Open Doubles, she has been on the podium multiple times, earning bronze in 2018 and silver in 2021 and 2024. Parent’s foundation in racquetball was built during her junior years, where she represented Canada at seven Junior World Championships and amassed twelve podium finishes at the Junior National level, including seven gold medals. Notably, she won a silver medal in 16U Girls’ Doubles at the 2018 Junior World Championships.

Start in Racquetball: When I was young, my father registered my sister and I in racquetball.

Reason for playing: I like the feeling of competition, speed, endurance and self-discipline.

Training habits: It depends on each day. When I’m with my coach Rino, we start by hitting balls and then play games.

Best Racquetball moment: My 2nd place win in doubles at the Junior World Championships in Mexico.

Non Racquetball talents: I am also a good soccer player.

When you are not playing racquetball, you are probably? Studying, training or relaxing at home when I have the time.

What advice do you have for athletes who want to play at your level? Get organized, be patient, set manageable goals and have fun!

Who has been important in your development as an athlete? Having a very good coach, good teammates who are always fun to work with and the support of my family/friends.
