YVAN GIRARDIN

Yvan Girardin of Montreal was awarded with the Ivan Velan award, the most prestigious award within the C.R.A. The presentation was made by president Dan Stone as one of the hi-lights during the senior nationals awards banquet in Toronto. It was accepted on Girardin’s behalf by Jean Desautels, President of the Q.R.A.
Girardin has been a long time supporter of the sport of racquetball and he has gone through the ranks at both the provincial and national levels. He has served as both the Quebec association president and representative on the national board of directors. In addition, the Quebec native has also served as committee chairs for the national team and tournaments. He was most recently second vice-president of the C.R.A.
A professor at the University of Montreal, he has taught in the faculty of physical education for over 20 years. Girardin continues to lecture both in Quebec and across Canada.
