Jennifer Saunders, Racquetball Canada High Performance Director
“This is such a fun and talented group of athletes, and I can’t wait to see what they accomplish next. I hope they take full advantage of the opportunities ahead of them to learn and grow, both as athletes and as students. We’re also very fortunate to have an experienced and exceptional coach like Michel Gagnon leading the way. The drive and commitment of our athletes and parents is truly commendable, and I encourage the Racquetball community to support them to the best of their ability.”
Ofelia Wilscam, 7-time World Junior Championships Competitor and Medalist
“As a member of the junior national team, it is always an honour to wear Canada’s colours on the international scene. For the last seven years, I have represented Canada at World Juniors, and it has always been a blast. This year, for the last time, I get to represent my country once again and I look forward to giving my all on the court. Let’s go, Team Canada!”
Team members earned their spot on Team Canada based on their results at the Junior National Championships held last May in Burlington, ON. All athletes named to the team finished on the podium in either first or second place.
To help support the athlete’s journey, Racquetball Canada has launched a donation campaign. Donations can be made to the whole team or in support of individual athletes. Click here for more information: https://racquetballcanada.ca/donate-to-our-world-junior-team/
