Lorne Prentice of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is the first recipient of the Racquetball Canada/Coaching Association of Canada Coaching Excellence Award. Coaching out of the River Racquet Club in Saskatoon, which he owns and manages as well, Prentice has coached 8 different national champions between 1991 and 1993. In 1993, three athletes he coached, Kris Odegard, Lisa Kerr and Karina Odegard won titles at the IRF Junior World Championships. He is a fully certified Level 2 Racquetball Coach in the National Coaching Certification Program and is the northern provincial coach for Racquetball Saskatchewan.
