Team Canada onto Championship Round at 2024 Pan American Championships

The preliminary singles and doubles pool play round is complete for Team Canada at the 2024 Panamerican Championships. The team had some impressive matches in the preliminary round, and they hope to carry that momentum throughout the remainder of the tournament.

In singles, the top two finishers from each pool will advance to the championship round. All four athletes competing in singles have secured a spot in the championship round. Sam Murray emerged first in his pool, while Kurtis Cullen, Danielle Ramsay and Juliette Parent finished second in their respective pools. Both Ramsay and Parent won key matches against higher seeded athletes to advance, with Ramsay defeating Lexi York of USA and Parent winning against Maria Cespedes of the Dominican Republic.

In doubles, all teams advance. Coby Iwaasa and Samuel Murray look very strong, finishing on top of their men’s doubles pool.

The championship round gets underway Tuesday, March 26. The Team Event begins on March 28.

Juliette Parent – Advances with 2nd place finish after the preliminary round
