Racquetball Action Heats up in Ontario : February 6 to 8

WINNIPEG (February 2, 2026) – Racquetball returns to Burlington, Ontario, this weekend as the National Team Selection Event and Easterns take center stage at Burlington Hall Sporting Centre from February 6–8, 2026.

TheNational Team Selection Eventbrings together Canada’s top Open Division players, competing for spots on national and international teams for the 2025–2026 season. Running alongside it, Easternsoffers competition for all ages and skill levels, giving players from across the country a chance to showcase their skills.

Results from the Open Divisions will determine Canada’s representatives at the 2026 Pan American Championships and influence selection for the 2026 World Championships. Top Canadian athletes in attendance include Samuel Murray (St-Basile-le-Grand, QC) and Frédérique Lambert (Montréal, QC), currently Canada’s number one ranked male and female players.

Racquetball Ontario, the tournament host, is partnering with Racquetball Canada to provide live coverageof Open Division matches on Facebook and YouTube, with updates, commentary, and results shared across Racquetball Canada’s social channels.

Racquetball Canada is thrilled to return to Burlington Hall Sporting Centre (formerly Cedar Springs), a venue with a storied history of hosting national racquetball events, including the 2014 International Racquetball Federation World Championships.

  • 24 Open Division competitors from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Québec, including Canada’s top-ranked athletes
  • 45 players of all ages and abilities competing in other divisions
  • Spectators welcome free of charge

When:

  • February 6–8, 2026
  • Play starts at 10:00 a.m. ET on Friday, February 6, with Open Division finals on Sunday, February 7. Other division finals will take place later Saturday and on Sunday.
