Christian Pocsai played in his first Junior National Championships in 2015. The next year he won a bronze in Boy’s 14U Doubles at age 11. Since then he has been on the podium consistently in both singles and doubles at the junior national level, winning a total of eight medals including gold in his singles age divisions in 2019, 2021 and 2023. He has represented Canada at five World Junior Championships, winning bronze in Mixed 18U Doubles at the 2022 World Junior Championships and bronze in the Boy’s 18U Doubles at the 2021 championships. Pocsai was first named to a national elite team in 2021 when he qualified for the National Development Team. In 2021, Pocsai was the recipient of the Sherman Greenfeld Award which recognizes a junior male athlete for their sponsorship on and off the court.
