The Racquetball Canada Women’s Committee awarded its annual Women’s Award to Gord Kurenoff in recognition of his efforts to promote racquetball and, in particular, women in racquetball. In his capacity as a sports editor at the National Post, Gord was instrumental in getting coverage of Christie Van Hees in that national publication; based on that and subsequent actions by Gord, racquetball was featured prominently in various media across the country.
