Women in Coaching Support Network
Racquetball Canada launched it’s Women in Coaching Support Network in July of 2020. The program brings together current and future women coaches to support and learn from each other. The goal is to provide a network of female coaches whose involvement will help us build strong programs for women and girls.
If you are interested in joining the network contact Racquetball Canada for more information.
Coach the Coaches – Become a Coach Developer
Who coaches the coaches? NCCP Coach Developers do!
Racquetball Canada is looking for coaches who would like to pursue a new leadership role in our sport community as an NCCP Coach Developer. NCCP Coach Developers are directly responsible for the development of coaches and need to be experts in learning as well as experts in coaching. They include: Learning Facilitators and Coach Evaluators, Advanced Learning Facilitators and Advanced Evaluators, and Master Learning Facilitators and Master Evaluators.
The NCCP now has a simple and universal 4-step process for becoming a Coach Developer:
- Core Training provides a general knowledge foundation;
- Content-specific Training allows candidates to become familiar with workshop materials and the delivery of content for either multi-sport workshops or sport-specific workshops.
- Co-delivery provides an opportunity for candidates to work with a senior coach developer in delivering a course
- A successful evaluation of a candidate’s independent delivery will lead to certification.
