The 2022 National Championships will be hosted at Sani Sport Brossard from May 24 to 28, 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players from across Canada will compete in several age and skill categories in men\u2019s and women\u2019s singles and doubles as well as mixed doubles. The Junior National Championships are also being held concurrently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Athletes competing in the open singles and doubles events are also competing for spots on national teams. The National Championships are one of three events taken into consideration for the teams named to represent Canada in international competition. Also, results impact Sport Canada Athlete Assistance nominations as well as nominations to Racquetball Canada\u2019s national teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spectator & Media Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All matches will take place at Sani Sport. The event is open to the public free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Play begins on May 24, with singles matches being played earlier in the day and doubles matches taking place afterwards. Finals and round robin deciding matches will be played on May 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All provincial health guidelines will be followed through the tournament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Media also welcome at the event. We ask you contact Jan Hanson<\/a> in advance to confirm the schedule and to ensure we are able to provide space for cameras. Interviews with athletes may be available upon request. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Livestreaming<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are pleased to partner with Timothy Baghurst and Jeffrey Thompson to provide livestreaming of many of the Open matches at the National Championships via Facebook Live. Those who have watched the great streaming that Tim and Jeffrey provide for the LPRT will appreciate how fortunate we are that they have volunteered to work with us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A streaming schedule will be published daily. We also hope to provide a live feed (with commentary) of some of the age and skills matches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awards Banquet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Awards Banquet will be held on May 28. We will honour our Open and Junior Champions, the Hall of Fame inductees for the classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022 and those receiving recognition with one of Racquetball Canada’s awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
