Landeryou and Murray Win Bronze at World Championships

WINNIPEG, MB, August 20, 2018 – Tim Landeryou of Calgary and Samuel Murray of Baie-Comeau are coming home with a bronze medal in doubles from the World Championships being held in San José, Costa Rica. The tournament ran from August 10 to 18, 2018.

This is the first time Landeryou and Murray have medaled together in doubles at an international tournament. Murray won bronze in men’s singles at the 2016 World Championships and this is Landeryou’s first World Championship medal since 2010. Both athletes have had success either on the pro-tour or at other major international tournaments. Landeryou was a member of the 2011 and 2015 Pan Am Games team and medalled at both events.

Canadian athletes begin their regular season at home in Canada in September.  Racquetball Canada will continue the process of selecting its team for the 2019 Pam Am Games at the first National Team Selection Event being held in November.
